For our first collaboration we went to Arthur’s studio in Paris, a small repair and rework space filled with thread, fabric offcuts and machines.
Arthur works quietly, one garment at a time, bringing worn pieces back to life without hiding their past.
Together we started from two pairs of 1960s French moleskin trousers from our selection. Heavy cotton with fading, stains and old marks of use. Instead of covering those signs, we chose to build around them: sashiko stitching, patchwork, hand repairs and sharp machine lines.
The idea was simple: treat repair as a design tool, not a correction. We mixed leftover fabrics, textured cottons and old stripes, echoing the way French workers once patched their trousers with whatever they had at home, more out of necessity than aesthetics.
Let's keep good garments alive.
